LWC found this to be a game too far in as much as they met a Cranleigh side that were technically more adept, tactically better organised and more able to reproduce skills in the heat of a game. LWC were under pressure from the off and struggled to clear the ball away from the D. Consequently much of the game was played in the LWC half where any errors could prove costly. There was the odd flurry up front when Ben M ran and ran without much success. There were notable performances from Donnie L and George S at the back and the man of the match Henry Fox who again made a number of impressive saves. He could not stop everything however and LWC conceded twice in the second half to lose 2-0.
