The Bs cruised to a comfortable win against Oratory. Conditions looked perfect on a dry sunny day but the pitch was wetter than it looked and played very slowly. LWC were inserted after losing the toss and started very slowly before losing their first wicket in only the third over. Things settled thereafter with the next four batters all contributing alongside 61 extras to a total of 143 for 4. It took some effort to pierce the field to score boundary fours and most lofted shots plugged in the soft outfield making the score all the more imposing.

LWC impressed in the field. Both Oliver W and Alex R got a wicket in each of their two overs leaving Oratory 14 for 4. There was some rest bite for the opposition, when both LWC leg spinners bowled in tandem, as they only lost a single wicket in the four overs bowled. the game was finished off by Tom R and Henry E taking 2 wickets each in overs 11 and 12, before Captain James R brought himself on to take the final wicket. the fielding was sharp, Oliver C took an excellent high catch after initially misjudging the flight, Ryan M did not look like dropping the chance he had and this confidence spread to all.

This was a fine performance despite there being question marks against the opposition. LWC out batted, out bowled and out fielded the opposition and have now set the standard for future games.
