A great team performance with everyone contributing in some way. We batted confidently, with Lottie and Annabelle both scoring 25 and retiring, followed by some confident hitting from Alice and Emily. All of them scored well around the pitch, with a couple of clean straight 4s, and some delightful sweeps for 4 behind square from Annabelle.

The total of 166 was too much for Eggars, who, although they bowled well, weren't able to find the consistency with wides and no-balls.

When Eggars batted, they weren't able to get the ball off the wicket owing to some naggingly accurate bowling. Martha took a hat-trick in her first over, and both Tabby and Millie took wickets with their first ball. Annabelle, Imi, and Lottie also took wickets. Everyone took their turn bowling, with good overs from Charlotte, Ophelia, and Emily. LWC were sharp in the field, and Fran kept well in spite of the ball getting no higher than about 6 inches at any point!
